Fallon writes books,
magazine articles, essays, and the occasional postcard on all sorts of
subjects—art, Southern California, baseball, music, American social and
cultural history, childhood, family, fatherhood, failing artists, food,
and more. While always on the lookout for entertaining tales to tell,
his greater writerly mission is to describe the deeper truths beneath
the conventional wisdoms, bandwagon fallacies, and other boiling frog
stories that prop up our shaky consensus reality.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming June 1 release of Michael's second book about the true story of L.A. in the 1970s, Dodgerland: Decadent Los Angeles and the 1977–78 Dodgers.
